DJI has retired the L1 from its enterprise product line — no enterprise product or marketing page remains, and its specification page lists the Matrice 300 RTK as the only supported aircraft. DJI has not published a formal end-of-life notice, so "retired from the lineup" is the precise status.

Can the L1's point rate be compared directly with the L3's?

Not directly. DJI publishes the L1's speed as points per second (240,000 single-return / 480,000 multi-return) but the L3's as laser pulse emission frequency (100–2000 kHz) with no points-per-second figure, so the two numbers measure different things. Where do these specs come from? DJI's official specification pages, captured and verified August 2026 — DJI publishes no spec-sheet PDF for either payload.
