How long does a 3D scanning project take?

Project duration depends on size and complexity. Mobile mapping captures continuously as one operator walks, so field time follows the length of the route; tripod scanning is set up and levelled at every scan position, so field time follows the position count; drone work follows altitude, overlap and the point density the deliverable requires. Processing adds 1-3 days for point cloud delivery. We offer same-day delivery for urgent projects with our mobile NavVis VLX3 system and expedited processing.
