What is 360° AI obstacle avoidance?
Skydio uses six 32MP navigation cameras in a trinocular configuration, top and bottom, plus onboard AI to see and avoid obstacles in all directions simultaneously, with a 20 m obstacle-sensing range. The drone navigates around obstacles autonomously. Obstacle avoidance is a pilot-configurable setting and has documented limits — thin wires, glass and water among them — so it reduces collision risk rather than removing it.
