What is the Zenmuse L3's vegetation penetration capability?

Zenmuse L3 offers excellent vegetation penetration with UP TO 16 RETURNS per pulse at the 100 kHz and 350 kHz pulse rates—meaning a single laser can hit canopy, branches, understory, and ground, capturing data at each level. This enables Digital Terrain Model (DTM) creation under tree cover where photogrammetry fails completely. L3's 900 m default detection range (950 m and 2,000 m are available only when DJI or an authorised dealer enables them) and laser pulse rate of up to 2,000 kHz handle dense forestry. For maximum penetration in tropical canopy, our ROCK R3 Pro V2 with dual-return LiDAR provides additional density. L3 is ideal for forestry, environmental mapping, and topographic surveys in vegetated areas.
