The DJI Matrice 400 is a real DJI Enterprise drone, released June 10, 2025. Full official specs are on enterprise.dji.com/matrice-400. The M400 features 59-minute flight time, 6 kg payload capacity, IP55 rating, and rotating LiDAR + mmWave radar obstacle sensing.

Will the Zenmuse L3 work with my existing DJI Matrice 300 or 350?

No — the Zenmuse L3 is M400-exclusive. It is not compatible with the M300 or M350 series. If you need long-range LiDAR with an M300/M350, look at the older Zenmuse L1 or L2 instead.

The L3 is a generational leap over the L2. L3 delivers 1535 nm long-range LiDAR up to 950 m at 10% reflectivity (vs L2 around 250–500 m), dual 100MP RGB mapping cameras (vs L2 single 20MP), and is exclusive to the M400 (L2 was compatible with M300/M350). For new corridor + power line + large-area LiDAR work, L3 is the upgrade.

Will the Zenmuse L3 work with my DJI Matrice 300 or 350?

No. The Zenmuse L3 is M400-exclusive. The L3 uses a dedicated single-gimbal connector engineered for the M400 platform and is not backward compatible.

What can the Zenmuse L3 do in a day?

Up to 100 km² of daily coverage in ideal mission planning (depends on flight altitude, swath width, RTK availability, and weather). For typical AEC corridor work, expect 10–30 km of corridor per flight day.
