What is NavVis IVION?
NavVis IVION transforms NavVis scan data into interactive digital twins accessible from any web browser. The platform hosts point clouds and 360 panoramic imagery, enabling teams to navigate facilities virtually, take measurements, and collaborate on documentation.
What sets IVION apart is its enterprise focus: access control, third-party integrations, and REST and streaming APIs from the Professional tier upward. Organizations can share specific areas with contractors while keeping sensitive sections restricted.
At THE FUTURE 3D, NavVis IVION is our primary delivery platform for large facility scans. Clients access their digital twins through simple web links, measure distances, and share specific viewpoints with their teams.

NavVis IVION FAQ
What is NavVis IVION?
NavVis IVION is the cloud platform for hosting and viewing NavVis scan data. It provides browser-based access to point clouds and 360 imagery for facility documentation and collaboration.
Is NavVis IVION free?
No — NavVis sells IVION as a subscription in three tiers: Core (essential viewing and cleanup, access control for up to 80 users), Professional (adds REST and streaming APIs, cross-site search, mobile visual cues, 100+ users) and Enterprise (adds advanced multi-connection SSO, a 99.9% uptime SLA, 6-month backups, flexible data residency and priority processing). Contact NavVis for current pricing.
Can IVION import non-NavVis scans?
IVION is optimized for NavVis data. While some import is possible, the platform is designed for the NavVis ecosystem. For multi-format needs, consider Autodesk ReCap.
How accurate are IVION measurements?
Measurement accuracy inherits from the source NavVis scan data — IVION is a viewing and collaboration platform and NavVis publishes no accuracy figure for it. The scanner's own published accuracy governs (for example NavVis publishes 5 mm local accuracy for the VLX 3, measured in a dedicated 500 m² test environment). The web viewer enables point-to-point distance, area, and height measurements.
Does IVION work with BIM tools?
IVION's published feature matrix lists third-party integrations and, from the Professional tier, front-end, REST and streaming APIs for connecting IVION to other systems. NavVis does not name a Revit add-in in its plan matrix, so confirm the current BIM integration path with NavVis before you build a workflow around it. In practice we deliver IVION alongside the point-cloud exports your BIM team needs.
Can stakeholders access without software?
Yes, IVION is browser-based. Stakeholders only need a modern web browser and link access. No software installation required.
Is IVION suitable for small projects?
IVION is designed for facility documentation with ongoing hosting needs. For one-time deliverables, static exports may be more appropriate.
