What's the difference between RTK and PPK for drone surveying?

Category: survey

RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) uses live corrections during flight for immediate georeferenced data—requires base station or NTRIP connection. PPK (Post-Processed Kinematic) logs raw GNSS data and processes corrections after flight—works without live connection. RTK advantages: real-time verification, immediate results. PPK advantages: works in remote areas, no signal interruption issues. The DJI Matrice 400 RTK supports both methods for flexibility.
