A small commercial space (under 5,000 sqft) with 2D floor plans typically takes 1-2 days for field work and 3-5 business days for processing. Mid-size buildings (25,000-100,000 sqft) require 2-5 field days and 1-2 weeks for deliverables. Large or complex facilities (100,000+ sqft) with full MEP documentation and BIM-ready data may require 1-3 weeks of field work and 3-4 weeks for complete documentation.
As-built drawings are a specific deliverable — typically 2D CAD floor plans showing the building as it actually exists (versus original construction drawings). As-built documentation is a broader term encompassing all records of existing conditions: 3D point cloud data, floor plans, MEP documentation, photographic records, measurement reports, and BIM-ready scan data. A complete as-built documentation package includes drawings plus the raw scan data and supporting materials.
